(WO) – Add Energy has been appointed to a long-term Master Services Agreement for provision of well services and emergency well control services for bp. The agreement is valid for a period of 10 years.

Under the Master Services Agreement, Add Energy will provide well control engineering modelling services.

“With a track record of approximately 85 live well incidents evaluated and mitigated, and having delivered more than 1,800 blowout contingency studies, we consider ourselves to be one of world’s leading companies within the field of well control,” said Moren Haug Emilsen, Manager for Well Control at Add Energy.

Add Energy is a specialist within well engineering, drilling, well control, asset and integrity management solutions. Add Energy is part of Oslo-listed ABL Group ASA, an independent energy and marine consultancy group to the global renewables, maritime and oil and gas sectors.

Work under the Master Services Agreement will be delivered out of Add Energy’s offices in Norway and USA.

“We are well aware of bp’s stringent well control standards and the expertise the company’s in-house team possesses. Our organizations have a long-term business relationship, and we look forward to collaborating again over the next decade to constantly enhance preventive well control measures,” said Emilsen.
